Principal's Message

Carmela D'Amato

Dear Families,

Thank you

After 10 weeks, we find ourselves at the end of Term 1, getting ready to rest, regroup and re energise for Term 2. We have had so many different events and celebrations this term and we have enjoyed each and every  one.

A very big heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated staff. They are continuously working towards better understanding our students and community and striving to always support our students with their learning. The growth made this term is something to celebrate and be proud of.

We couldn't do this without our SoGS families and we thank you for continuing to support our students to make a positive difference to their education and wellbeing. Anytime someone comes to meet with me, we talk about the strength of working as a team and I am grateful for the partnership we share with our parents and caregivers.

Easter Celebrations & Term 2 Start Date

This year, Holy Week and Easter Masses fall at the end of the two-week school break. As a result, Term 2 will commence on Tuesday, 22nd April.

To celebrate the joy of Easter, we are excited to host our Annual Easter Bonnet Parade on Tuesday, 22nd April at 9:15 AM on the Tiger Turf. This fun-filled event is a wonderful way to bring our community together and embrace the festive spirit.

🎩🐣 Get Creative Over the Holidays!

We encourage all children to design and create their very own Easter Bonnet Hats during the school holiday break. Let your creativity shine with colorful decorations, fun themes, and lots of Easter cheer!

We warmly welcome families to come along and enjoy the parade. If parents would like to get involved, you are more than welcome to create your own Easter Bonnet and join the parade alongside the teachers—let’s make it a truly festive occasion!

We look forward to celebrating together and can’t wait to see all the amazing bonnets on display. See you there!

IMPORTANT- SCHOOL COMMUNICATION PLATFORM

  • Please note, we will not be using Audiri any longer. Please follow the instructions and have NFroma Parent Portal ready for Term 2.

The nForma Parent Portal App

We are now beginning to roll out new features on the Parent Portal, including the Absent module, Notices module and Forms module. From Term 2 we will begin phasing out Audiri, so please reach out if you are not sure of how to get onto the Parent Portal.

1.Download the app “nForma for Parents” from the App Store or Google Play (many families will have already downloaded the app to access children’s reports last year).

2. Log in using the email address you have registered with the school. If you are not sure of what this is, please email the office at info@sogsgpark.catholic.edu.au and we can check which address is on file.

3.Ensure that you have notifications switched on so that you will know when there are updates on the app.

4.Please complete the Chromebook Policy and Mobile phone/Smartwatch Policy if you have not already done so (we need this to be completed for every child as soon as possible).

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are unsure of any of these steps.
