Hi All,
Some exciting updates today! I've been working away for some years now on facilities upgrades, and I've got some great news.
Building Upgrades Program.
Starting very soon, we have some upgrades happening to our school. We have been fully funded for the all of the works indicated in the plans below (very hard to read), including all of the extras!
Here's an overview of what's included:

Fire Service Upgrade.
We have also been approved for a complete replacement of our school Fire Service. This is indicated by the red line in the plan below. These works will mean we have a fully compliant fire system, that meets current standards.

Ramps Program Upgrade.
We have also been allocated funds to complete upgrades to the ramps indicated on the plan below. These ramps were identified as not meeting current standards, so will be replaced or repaired.

WiFI Infrastructure Upgrade.
We have also just finalised contracts for a full site upgrade of all network cables to improve our internet performance.

Capital Works Fund Application - PENDING.
I have also submitted an application to the Capital Works Fund program for a full internal 'refresh'. This would mean a fresh coat of paint and new carpet right through the school. I am waiting to hear the outcome of this application, so cross your fingers!
What a Team!
Big thanks to our team who got dressed up for the Book Week Parade. You looked fab, and the kids loved it.

Victorian Principal Association Conference.
While the team were dressed up at school, Krystina and I were attending the VPA conference. We did lots of learning, lots of planning and had a bit of fun at the conference dinner! We didn't want to miss out on the dress up fun.

New Out of School Hours Care Provider for 2025.
School Council has been working hard in the last few months, shortlisting and interviewing Out of School Hours Care providers. After much consideration, we are pleased to announce that from 2025 we will be partnering with Kelly Club. We believe this partnership is a great fit for our community.
More information to follow about registration etc.

First Aid Training.
Recently, our team completed their first aid updates. Great to know we have every member of our team with up to date first aid.

PIE DAY added to Footy Dress Up Day!

You will notice on compass that there is a Course Confirmation that has popped up. We are having a go at using this compass feature for Footy Dress Up Day later this term. We have partnered with Routley Bakery who will deliver our goodies to school hot!
Just update the amount for the items you wish to order and make payment. That's it!
Father’s Day Stall - TOMORROW - Thursday 29th August
Children will have the opportunity to buy a gift for their dads, granddads and other father figures / special people in their lives. Gifts are priced between $3 and $12.

Only those with money will be able to purchase on the day. We are unable to ‘hold’ any purchases.
Please send a bag for your child to put their gift/s in.
If you are available to help at the stall, please email hamlynbankspfa@gmail.com.
HBPS STUDENT NEWS
Be sure to jump over to the HBPS Face Book page to watch the latest episode of our student created Hamlyn Banks P.S News report. BIG THANKS to Mr Brown for supporting our students to create the News Report each week. It's brilliant.

See you at the front gate.
