Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub
We’ve been having lots of fun this past fortnight in Community Hub! The first being Book Week. On the Springvale Campus children and parents joined in the fun and dressed up as sheep from our favourite book ‘Where is the Green Sheep?” written by Mem Fox. We were able to watch the Book Week parade, and our parents even won the best dressed! On the Heights campus we headed to Springvale Library for an excursion where we enjoyed playing at the nature park and participating in the special song and story session. In addition, we also celebrated a special Father’s Day playgroup where the children decorated some special cards and even took home a special keepsake photo keyring for their special person.
On the Springvale Campus, the Women’s Wellbeing Group have been sewing under the lovely guidance of Chintha! The first week the women all made pillowcases and during the second week they sewed tote bags. Please join us next week where we will be making aprons!
The Women’s Wellbeing Group on the Heights Campus invited The Water Well Project where midwife Zoe and nurse Tracey presented our women with a ‘Healthy Minds Healthy Relationships’ session. We explored topics such as mental health, healthy relationships including family violence and learned about the many organisations that are available to our community. Please see below for details:
