Snapshots from Springvale Campus
Springvale Campus students and staff have had a busy and fun-filled couple of weeks.
Last week we held our traditional FLC Fathers’ Day celebrations. The day was filled with joy, laughter and special moments that made it a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved. The students worked hard to create heartfelt cards and special personalised mugs to celebrate their fathers and friends (father figures). It was heartwarming to see the creativity and effort that went into each gift. We also had a fantastic Fathers’ Day Stall, where students from all year levels had the chance to purchase unique gifts for their dads. It was wonderful to see the students’ excitement as they chose the perfect gift.
We hope all the fathers and father figures enjoyed their special day and felt the love and appreciation from our school community.
Another highlight of the past fortnight was the SLC excursion to the Puffing Billy Railway! The students had a wonderful day exploring one of Victoria’s most beloved heritage attractions. The iconic steam train took them on a journey through the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, offering breathtaking views of lush forests and charming countryside. I hear that the thrill of hearing the steam train whistle and riding in an open carriage was a hit with everyone! Throughout the excursion the students learned about the history of Puffing Billy and gained a greater appreciation for the marvels of early transportation. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the parent volunteers and staff who helped make this excursion possible. Your support and assistance were invaluable and contributed greatly to the success of the day.
The last couple of weeks of the term promise to bring more fun and excitement both inside and outside the classroom. Stay tuned to hear about those in the next newsletter!
Warm regards,
