Over the past few weeks, students in Humanities have been deeply engaged in exploring Ancient Australia. As we approach the end of Term 3, students should be finishing their KLT 3 tasks, which emphasise the significance of discoveries at Lake Mungo and their impact on Australian history. This assignment has provided an excellent opportunity for students to practice their paragraph writing skills, using key archaeological findings while gaining a deeper understanding of Indigenous Australian culture.
Looking ahead, our focus will shift to Ancient Egypt, one of the world's earliest civilizations. Students will begin exploring the lives of pharaohs, key groups in society as well as the significant contributions of the Nile River.
What is the name of the ancient Egyptian writing system using pictures and symbols?
a) Cuneiform
b) Hieroglyphics
c) Latin
d) Sumerian
