Planning for 2025
As Term 3 comes to a close, this is a perfect opportunity for me to begin discussing the planning for 2025. The complex process of planning for 2025 is well underway and the recruitment of staff to teach our new Year 7 cohort in 2025 continues to be at the forefront of our work. This is moving along particularly well, with many of the teaching positions now filled with experienced and dedicated educators.
Year 8 Subject offering for 2025
As soon as we finalise the teaching program and recruiting program for 2025, students and parents will be notified of their course for next year.
Important Information - School Saving Bonus
In week 8 of this term, I wrote to our families and provided them with the recently released information concerning the School Savings Bonus that has been released by the Victorian Government.
In summary, my email outlined that:
In Term 4, 2024, families with a child enrolled in a government school from Prep to Year 12 in 2025 will receive the one-off $400 School Saving Bonus.
The $400 School Saving Bonus provides families with support for education-related costs, such as school activities and/or school uniforms and textbooks.
The School Saving Bonus is not available for full-fee international students, home schooled students, TAFE students and students attending kindergarten in 2025.

R U OK? Day
I thank all the staff and students for their time and effort on Thursday 12 September in helping the college run a successful R U OK? Day. It was fantastic to see our students greatly enjoying these engaging activities.
Comments that have been made to me throughout the year by students and families highlight the enormous understanding, support and empathy displayed by the staff of the college towards our students and families.
On behalf of the College and School Council, I thank our college staff for their work, and our Student Support Staff in particular, for the effort and enthusiasm that they put into the R U OK? Day and their attention to detail
Finally, can I specifically thank those who were part of the organizing group led by Dina Becvinovski and our Year Level Coordinators, Natalie Djelosevic and Giovanna Morgan and our Student Wellbeing Officer, Peri Georgakakis. We all know that 2024 continues to be a challenging year for everyone and this program is very much needed.
