Congratulations to Isaac W. in Level 5, who competed in the International Junior Taekwondo championship in Malaysia last weekend. Isaac had the opportunity to showcase his elite talent on a global stage, and we couldn’t be prouder of his accomplishments. He is a humble student with incredible talent, finishing the tournament with several medals, including a gold for Australia! Look out for Isaac at future Olympic games!

Level 5/6 Hoop Time

More than 70 of our Level 5/6 students had a fantastic time at their Senior Hoop Time day last Tuesday at Nunawading Stadium! They competed in both the All-Star and Future Star divisions, representing the school with great pride. Congratulations to our All-Star Girls, who continued their incredible 21-game winning streak, going undefeated throughout the day and claiming the Grand Final victory. They will advance to compete in the Regional Finals in Term 4. A big thank you to all the staff, parents, and volunteers who made the day possible.

Eastern Metro Regional T-Ball

Yesterday, our Level 5/6 Boys T-Ball team became Eastern Regional Champions after an exhilarating 1-run victory in the grand final. The boys competed brilliantly throughout the day, advancing through several tough rounds against strong competition. Highlights included some massive hits from Leo and Archie, driving in crucial home runs!

Every player played a vital role in the team’s success, with each contributing to key moments throughout the day. A big thank you to our incredible parent community for their ongoing support. The grand final came down to the last play, with Harry making an amazing catch on a sky-high ball to seal the win in dramatic fashion. It was one of the most memorable moments we’ve had at Rangeview, and we are incredibly proud of the boys, who now advance to the State Finals in September—an achievement that places them among the last 8 teams out of over 2,000 schools in the state.

Downball Victoria State Championships

Last week, 20 of our Level 3-6 students competed in the Downball Victoria State Championships. Under the guidance and training of our two coaches - Vansh, the 2023 individual state champion, and Avish, a very talented leader and player, the team showed excellent dedication and improvements across the term. Their hard work paid off as one of our Level 3/4 teams featuring Joel J, Xiong L, Ryan B, Shawn Z and Nicholas H emerged as the state champions. The students represented our school with excellent sportsmanship, pride and achieved excellent results across the board. Well done to all our competitors! Thanks to Ms Hubbard for all her hard work in making this day possible for our students!

SEDA AFL Clinics

Over the past fortnight, our Foundation and Level 1 students have had the fantastic opportunity to participate in SEDA AFL Clinics. They’ve learned a range of new skills, including kicking, handballing, and marking, all while enjoying some exciting games. A big thank you to the SEDA team for visiting our school!

Uniform cleaning and returns

We kindly ask that any sports uniforms from recent events be returned as soon as possible, as they are regularly needed for multiple sporting activities. Additionally, as we approach the holidays, we are seeking volunteers to help clean some of the uniforms. Many have been returned with tough stains, and a little extra help would be greatly appreciated.

If you’re able to assist, please reach out to Meg or myself. Thank you!
