Book Parade Day

Today Rangeview has again celebrated a fantastic Book Parade Day with students in all levels stepping up the fabulous costumes and props! We celebrated the Children's Book of the Year Awards with the winner of the Early Childhood category going to Gymnastica Fantastica! by Briony Stewart.

We thank our community for their generous participation in the Book Fair - we will receive 250-300 new books for our Library as a result of this Fair for our students to enjoy.

A huge thank you to Deidree Geilings and Lynette Ellis for organising and running such a successful Book Parade day, to our teaching and support staff for getting on board and participating with such enthusiasm, and to our wonderful parents and carers for creating the fantastical character costumes our students displayed.

School Values

We are taking some time this year, to re-visit the school values and reflect on their strengths moving forward. It is important that the values of a school not only represent the values of the community, but also represent the current perspectives of the student body.

We are seeking community feedback and so far the values of Resilience, Respect and Kindness are the most popular community choices.

It is not too late to join this discussion. If you would like to participate, please do so using the Google Form https://forms.gle/fgeDuWB9saaB2N269

Costume Donations

Our fabulous Foundation teacher Aimee Mackenzie is organising a Costume Donation Drive. If you have any costumes that your child has outgrown please consider donating to the school. These costumes will then be available for other families and children to use and enjoy.

A list of dress- up days we enjoy at Rangeview Primary School:

  • Book Week (all levels)
  • Pirate or Penguin Party (Foundation)
  • 100 Days of School (dress up as if you are 100 years old) (Foundation)

Council Update

Council have recently been in correspondence with the local residents within Haven Court, which will see the installation of “No Stopping 8:30am – 9:15am and 3:15pm – 4:00pm on School Days only” signage along the northern side of Haven Court.

The area that the parking restrictions are to be installed is summarised in the image below. This signage will be installed as soon as possible.

We would also like to remind the community of the rules around the Kiss & Go Zones. See below.
