Outdoor Education

The VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies students have been out on two trips recently.

On the 25th and 26th of July, while many of us were in our warm houses, the Year 11 and 12 Outdoor Education students were braving the cold conditions. The group completed a winter trek to Ritchies Hut on the Howqua River at the base of Mount Buller to gather primary data for an upcoming assessment task. Ritchies Hut is one of the many high country huts and was a welcome sight after walking in the rain. The walk out was in contrasting sunshine.

VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies also took part in an excursion to Lake Mountai. The students spent time developing their cross country skiing and enjoying the snow.
