MPPS Values Awards
MPPS Student Values Awards ~ Term 2, Week 8
Students who have demonstrated our school values (Respect, Kindness, Gratitude) are selected from each cohort to receive an award certificate and our new Values wristband to wear to school each day. The students receive this award at a cohort assembly that is conducted twice per term.

Prep
Florence ~ This award goes to a truly kind, empathetic and caring student. Florence, you are a true role model for our school value of respect. Florence always strives to do the right thing, even when nobody is watching, always encouraging others to do the same. Her beautiful manners and positive attitude are present in every ‘please’ and ’thank you’. A true role model for her peers, Florrie’s inclusive nature shines through in her caring actions towards her friends, teachers and the whole school community. She is constantly looking for ways to help others and take care of our school spaces. We are so grateful to have you in Prep A, Florrie, you truly make our class a better place. Congratulations!
Evan ~ In Performing Arts, this student consistently shows respect by listening carefully, following instructions, and treating both their classmates and learning space with kindness and care. They are always willing to take turns, encourage others, and make everyone feel included. Their positive attitude and thoughtful actions help create a safe and happy learning environment where everyone can learn and shine. Congratulations on receiving the Respect Award EVAN. We are so proud of the wonderful role model you are becoming!
Elsie ~ Elsie has a heart full of kindness! She is a wonderfully kind and caring member of our school community. She arrives each day with a bright smile and positive attitude, always showing respect and consideration for others. As an inclusive and thoughtful friend, Elsie goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and valued. She consistently demonstrates kindness towards both her classmates and teachers, showing empathy and compassion in her everyday actions. Elsie’s caring nature helps create a warm and supportive environment for those around her. Keep shining, Elsie! Your kindness makes our school a better place each and every day. We are so lucky to have you a part of Prep B.
Isabel ~ Isabel is a shining star in her ability to show our school value of gratitude in her daily actions. Always looking out for ways to help others, Isabel’s deep empathy and care for others shines through her actions every day. She is a caring, kind and thoughtful student who always strives to make others' days better. She takes pride in looking after our classroom and school, helping to keep our learning spaces tidy and welcoming for everyone. Isabel sets a beautiful example for her peers in her ability to always look for ways to support others. Isabel, we are so lucky to have your shining presence in our classroom. You make our class a kind and supportive environment for all. Congratulations, Isabel!
Year 1/2
Patrick ~ Patrick consistently demonstrates respect in all aspects of school life. He listens carefully, follows instructions, and treats his teachers and classmates with kindness and consideration. Patrick is a positive role model for his peers, always getting on with his work promptly and showing a strong commitment to his learning. He challenges himself to extend his thinking, puts in his best effort in everything he does, and sets a fantastic example of what it means to be respectful. Congratulations, Patrick, on being a deserving recipient of the Respect Award.
Year 3/4
Ellie ~ This value award goes to a student who truly embodies what it means to show respect both in and outside the classroom! We are lucky to have them in our MPPS community! Well done, Ellie Purcell! Ellie is a fantastic student that always ensures to be respectful to her peers and teachers. She is an active listener who makes sure to engage thoughtfully in classroom discussions and never speaks over others. She is always very friendly and warm to those around her and always says bonjour and hello when seeing people around the school. Additionally, she is respectful of her surroundings and never fails to clean up after herself as well as others! We are so proud of Ellie and her consistent effort to model Respect at MPPS! Bravo and merci for all of your hard work!
Yoona ~ Yoona consistently show's our school values. You listen carefully to instructions, ask thoughtful questions and diligently work on tasks to complete them to the best of your ability. Even when tasks stretch your learning and make you feel challenged, confused or put you in the “learning pit”, you work hard to attempt them. You show teacher respect by stopping and focusing on the instructions. You show other students respect by working with others in a calm and productive manner. You show parents respect by opening the door, smiling and welcoming them in our class. You role model our school values every day and you are a shining light in our ¾ class.
Radhya ~ At camp, Radhya was seen showing exceptional kindness to others: comforting them during times of sadness; sharing her things; and helping her cabin mates get set up and ready for the day. At school, Radhya’s kindness extends to peers, teachers, and members of the community. Radhya’s acts of kindness are always carried out with patience, humour, and compassion. She has a beautiful way of including others in her humour; laughing with them, never at them. Her positive, friendly attitude uplifts those around her. Thank you Radhya, for taking such good care of those around you. Our school is a kinder, happier place because of you.
Isaiah ~ Today we recognise Isaiah for receiving the Gratitude Award. Isaiah can always be relied upon to show excellent manners and genuine appreciation, whether in the classroom, on excursions or at Arrabri Lodge camp. He is grateful for the people around him, the opportunities he is given, the environment he lives, plays and learns in, and the many thoughtful actions and small things that others might overlook. He never forgets to say thank you! His gratitude makes a positive difference to our class, our year level, and our whole school community.
Year 5/6
Sam ~ I want to recognize Sam for his outstanding achievements so far this year. Not only are you excelling in your position as Art Leader, but you also consistently demonstrate a remarkable depth of thoughtfulness and consideration when taking care of our art supplies and resources, ensuring everything is cleaned and organised after each session. You display constant gratitude toward your teachers through your positive attitude and application to all aspects of learning. Thank you for your willingness to stand as an excellent role model for your peers, you truly embody the best of our creative community. Thank you Sam, for inspiring us all and leading by example.
Max ~ Max is receiving this award for the wonderful growth he has shown in demonstrating our school value of Respect throughout this term. He has become a positive and engaged member of our class, consistently contributing to class discussions, listening thoughtfully to others, and treating both his peers and teachers with kindness and consideration. Max approaches his learning with a positive attitude and is always willing to participate, collaborate, and make constructive choices. The maturity and respect he now shows in his interactions with others have made a noticeable difference in our classroom community. It has been fantastic to see his confidence and willingness to lead by example continue to grow.
Max should be incredibly proud of the progress he has made. He is a valued member of our class, and we are excited to see him continue to flourish.
Rasa ~ We would like to present the Kindness Award to Rasa. Whenever she visits the office or has a question for the Administration team, she always greets us with kindness and respect. Most importantly, she consistently shows kindness and care towards other students.
Rasa is a ray of sunshine who regularly shares how much she enjoys coming to school. Her positive attitude and warm nature brighten the day of those around her. Keep being kind and spreading positivity, Rasa. It is a wonderful quality to have, and a joy to witness. Well done!
Rhys ~ From the very beginning of Rhys’ time at MPPS he has displayed all of our school values. Rhys comes to school to enjoy everything that MPPS can offer. He is always a high achiever as a learner and as a classmate and friend. Many staff have commented over the years what a wonderful person Rhys is and how much they enjoy working with him. Rhys was certainly an easy and obvious choice as one of our School Captains for 2026. He is respectful, kind and grateful in all his interactions with his fellow students, parents and staff.
Something that has always stood out to us over the last 6.5 years, is how Rhys displays his gratitude at school. He is a person we can count on to support others, to include others, to help others and to show kindness through acts of kindness to others. Rhys has never questioned our requests of support and has frequently just offered because he knew he could have a positive impact on school life. Through his actions, comments and behaviour, Rhys has displayed how grateful he is to be part of the MPPS community. Thank you for being such a wonderful member of our community, Rhys. We are very grateful to have you as a student at MPPS.
