First Aid Reminders for Term 3

As we head further into the colder months, we may see plenty of coughs, colds and seasonal bugs making their way around the school. We all play an important part in helping to keep our school community healthy, so if your child is feeling unwell please keep them at home until they are feeling better and have passed the contagouse stage.

If you're ever unsure about whether your child is well enough to attend school, The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne  website is a fantastic resource, with helpful information about common childhood illnesses, symptoms and when it's safe to return to school.

Head lice (nits) are common in primary schools. A friendly reminder to please check your child's hair regularly, as early detection helps stop the spread. If you find head lice, please begin treatment before your child returns to school and continue regular checks and follow-up treatments over the following days.

Lastly, if your child has any new medical conditions, allergies, or there have been changes to an existing health plan or medication, please let the school office know. We may ask you to complete or update a Medical Plan or Medication Forms so we can continue to provide the best care for your child while they attend the school.

Thank you for working with us to keep everyone happy, healthy and ready to learn.
