On Wednesday, 5 August 2026, six Year 6 students attended a Group Speech and Drama performance at the Orange Function Centre as well as an improvisation workshop facilitated by the adjudicator. The students delivered an outstanding performance that earned the highest score and first place in their section.
Following both the performance and workshop, the students received high praise from the event organisers, who commended them on their skill, enthusiasm, engagement, respectful behaviour, inclusiveness, and support of fellow participants throughout the day.
The accompanying parent was extremely proud of the students' achievements and was particularly pleased to receive such positive feedback regarding both their performance and their conduct. The commendation reflected not only the students' talent but also the values they demonstrated while representing the school.
Special acknowledgement is extended to their teacher, Mrs Jacquie Paix, for her excellent organisation of the group performance and for her ongoing teaching, mentorship, guidance, and support the students involved. Her dedication and commitment have played a significant role in fostering both their artistic development and confidence, contributing to this well-deserved success.

The UpBeats and Fusion Beat dance groups recently represented Kinross Wolaroi at the Orange Eisteddfod. It was a tough competition, with almost every school in Orange represented, and a wonderful opportunity for our dancers to perform for the wider community.

Both groups delivered fantastic performances. Upbeats were commended for bringing great “personality” to their dance, while Fusion Beat were praised for their polished positions and strong performance, receiving a Highly Commended.
We are immensely proud of all our dancers for their enthusiasm, commitment and confidence in representing our school. Well done, dancers!

Every year Mrs Moxey runs a Practice Competition with her students. They are required to keep a record of the number of days that they practise over a period of 6 weeks. It has been proven that 10 minutes practice over 6 days in a week produces better results than 60 minutes of practice on one day a week.
This year three students practised EVERY day of the 6-week period. They were:
Edward Doyle
Mezen Jalal
William Lai
They are to be congratulated on this outstanding effort.
