Welcome back to Term 3!

Last week we started our Poetry unit and the Preps have enjoyed exploring Rhyme, Rhythm and Repetition to read and write some amazing poems. We did have an incident in our room where a criminal broke into our Prep room and stole some items!!!! The Preps had to solve The "RHYME CRIME" by first reading, and then writing some Rhyming clues.

In Maths we have been learning about matching numerals to number words and also exploring the position of ordinal numbers and comparing them to cardinal (counting) numbers. We have also learnt the cheating/shorter way to write ordinal numbers (eg 2nd instead of second).

The Preps were very excited to learn and are now practicing madly, their school production dance and song. They can't wait to perform for you on the 18th September.

Today was our 100 years of school celebration!!
