YEAR 12 EXAMS
Congratulations to our Year 12 English, EAL and Literature students on completing their final exams. These students have used recent months to great effect as they revised for the exam. You should be very proud of your efforts.
YEAR 9 PODCAST TASK
Creating the podcast Tell Me Why has introduced me to a completely new way of understanding and communicating knowledge. Through this learning task, I discovered the joy of sharing ideas and inspiring curiosity in others. Tell Me Why is an informative science podcast that explores the fascinating mechanisms behind everyday phenomena that often go unnoticed. According to the 2024 Attitude to School Survey, fewer than half of students expressed interest in learning, with science subjects often receiving even less enthusiasm.
This number shaped my planning, as I aimed to design each episode to make science more engaging and relatable for students. I achieved this by connecting scientific concepts to familiar experiences. Throughout the process, I explored a variety of scientific papers and online resources, discovering intriguing experiments and unexpected findings. Beyond completing the task itself, this project allowed me to deepen my understanding of scientific ideas, practise breaking down complex topics, and improve my ability to communicate them clearly and logically.

YEAR 10 MULTIMODAL GROUP TASK
In Term 3, our Year 10 students completed a unit on persuasive language where they were asked to ‘sell the unsellable’. Students worked collaboratively to create audio-visual pieces that aimed to persuade a target audience. Here’s a snapshot of the terrific work that our students generated.
