Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,
I hope everyone enjoyed the extended weekend due to the King's Birthday holiday on Monday.
Last week concluded on Friday with our Pentecost Liturgy in the hall. We thank the parents and other visitors who joined the students for this important occasion- the bithday of our Church.
Fr Martin has written to both St Anne's and St Joachim's schools, as part of the St Anne's Parish, to seek support for the Winter Shelter Program. I share his words below:-
"I am writing to share about our Parish’s Winter Shelter Program, which has now begun for the season. Each year, the shelter provides a warm, safe space and a hot meal to individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.
We are currently in urgent need of volunteers, even for just a couple of hours, to help with simple but vital tasks such as preparing and serving meals, welcoming guests, and setting up or tidying the space.
We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this opportunity with your staff, and school families, especially those looking for meaningful ways to contribute to the wellbeing of our wider community.
Volunteering at the shelter not only meets a real need but also fosters compassion, gratitude, and solidarity — values that align so closely with the heart of Catholic education.
Our shelter days are Thursday evening to Saturday morning.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to building a more caring and just society.
Please contact Sumitha at the Parish Office on 9401 6398 if you are able to help.
Next Thursday 19th June some of our Year 5-6 students will be representing our school at a local basketball gala day. We wish them an enjoyable day and thank Mrs Ary for organising this.
Thanks again for a wonderful week, and we look forward to what’s ahead!
God Bless
Rod Shaw
