VPC - Class 19/20

Class 19-20 have had a productive term working towards their VPC goals.

As a part of the Work Related Skills (WRS) component, students have been engaged in a real life work experience by delivering restaurant menus for a local business ‘Oh Ya Indian Restaurant’ in Rosebud.

Students met with the owner and each week have canvassed and delivered these menus in  the McCrae area.  

Students worked on:

• Using maps to canvas particular streets
• Identifying numbers on letterboxes, including odd and even numbers
• Identifying letterboxes with ‘No junk mail’
• Interacting positively with people in the community (including one of our bus drivers ‘Ian’!)
• Reporting back to the owner via email 

It has been great to see our students engage in real life work experiences and build connections with our local businesses and community.
