Netball Triumph: NCS vs. NAC - A Friendly Feat!

Last Friday, our Years 7-10 Girls Netball team faced off against NAC in a friendly match at SISC, following a postponement from late 2023. The girls showcased impressive skills and secured a victory. We hope that there will be more friendlies with other schools throughout the year.

Primary Zone Swimming Carnival - Splish Splash!

On Monday 19 February twenty-two students from NCS took to the waters of Nowra Aquatic Park for the annual South Coast CSSA Primary Zone Swimming Carnival. Six schools from our region met for a day of fun competition. The day started with relays, our two boys teams finished in third place. In the individual events where swimmers were up against (up to) 10-12 others from the same age group in our region, competition was tough. Notably Charlotte S posted a 25 second improvement on her school time for 50m freestyle. We had standout performances from the likes of two of our school's age champions Amelia P and Will P who both swam in six or seven events, Callum B swam in multiple events filling in for some students who weren't able to make it on the day. Elijah J-C, Beth D and Taj G did similarly well stepping in for others. Thanks for your efforts on the day!

Those finishing in the first three places at most events qualified for the State Swimming Carnival at S.O.P.A.C. at Homebush on Thursday 7 March. Congratulations to those students who made it to the upcoming state this year. Please note it is a 'Twilight' carnival again this year. Well done to all our competitors and thanks to the many family members who came along to support out students during their races, or who dropped them off and picked them up. Much appreciated and we hope that you had a fun-filled, blessed day. Huge thanks to our starting official, Mr. Barrie Hepburn, who graciously gave his time and expertise on the day (as he regularly does). You are very much appreciated. We look forward to more swimming news from Homebush in a few weeks' time.
