Celebrating Community: Building Genuine Connections

What an exciting time to be part of our school community! As we continue the school year, I thought it wise to celebrate the beautiful connections that make NCS truly special.

First off, let's give a big shoutout to our amazing Student Ambassadors! In their training sessions last week, they all mentioned the genuine connections they've formed with both staff and fellow students. It's heartwarming to see how these bonds of friendship and support are woven into the fabric of our school. A huge thank you goes to Mrs Herring and Mrs Dickinson for their efforts in guiding and nurturing our Ambassadors.

Our littlest learners from Kindergarten recently had a blast exploring Secondary. From the fascinating Science Lab to the bustling Textiles and Timber rooms, to the creative spaces of Art and Music and finishing with seeing a PE class in action, they got a taste of the exciting journey ahead. Thank you to our Secondary teachers for opening their doors and hearts to our young explorers. You're shaping futures and building connections with every smile and welcome.

Speaking of connections, our recent Parent/Carer-Teacher Night was a hit! It was wonderful to see so many families and teachers coming together, putting our students at the centre, and strengthening the bonds that make our school community thrive. We look forward to the academic year to come and celebrate the progress that each of our students will make.

Another big event was our NCS Perspectives Evening! It was a fantastic chance for new families to dive into the heart of our approach to Christian education. It was great to have new families making new friends and reminding us that we're all in this together.

Looking ahead, we've got some awesome events lined up that you won't want to miss! - Join us for another round of Parent/Carer-Teacher Night on Tuesday afternoon/evening. It's a great opportunity to keep those conversations flowing and relationships growing. - Then, mark your calendars for our Twilight Picnic on Friday—it's bound to be a time of fun and fellowship! - Don't miss out on the magic of "The Little Mermaid" musical. Countless hours have been spent rehearsing, sewing, painting, building and practising,  It's a chance to cheer on our talented students and staff and show our community spirit. - We encourage you to tell your friends and family about our school - we have our Open Week happening in a few weeks, it is a chance for new families who are considering our school to come in and have a tour and visit our classrooms.

As we continue in this school year together, take inspiration from Colossians 3:14:

"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

Let's keep spreading love, building connections, and making NCS a home where everyone belongs.
