The Foundation students will be working together with you to sequence the days of the week and identify something that happens on the different days.

The Year 1 students invite their families to come and participate in making numbers using their place value knowledge. Students will be using a range of manipulatives to create bundles of tens and ones.

The Year 2 students invite their families to come and participate in a range of place value games that the students have played over the term to assist them in developing their place value knowledge. 
Year 3

Place Value - Addition and Subtraction

The Year 3 students invite their families to come and participate in viewing and playing their child’s self-made Place Value board game! Children will be explaining their own Place Value board game creation, and work with their families to solve the addition and subtraction sums.

The Year 4 students invite their families to come to observe our work in Measurement. We will be completing a length investigation using a range of materials, including formal measures such as rulers and tape measures, and informal measurement tools such as ribbon and string.

Year 5Measurement and Geometry: Mapping and Directional Language

The Year 5 students invite their families to come and complete a scavenger hunt. Families will participate in an activity created by the students where they get to read map coordinates and use directional language to find graph locations. 
Year 6

The Year 6 students invite their families to come and solve problems involving the comparison of length. Families will participate in an activity where students and families will measure and compare their height, arm span & hand span to their child. Students will use a measuring tape and or ruler to complete this task.

Year 3-6 Cross Country

Our Year 3-6 Cross Country will be held on Wednesday the 27th of March, with the first race starting at 9:30am. Parents/Guardians/families are welcome to come and support our students. Please enter the school using the side gates. 

 

Please find the race schedule below (these are the approximate race times)

 

Students will need on the day:

  • Hat (labelled clearly with their name)
  • Drink Bottle (labelled clearly with their name)
  • Wear your running shoes (runners), shorts and t-shirt in your house colour                                     (ask your teacher or at the office if you are unsure of your house colour)

Ribbon Presentation 

House Captains to award the top 5 placegetters

 

On Thursday 28th March (the last day of term 1), we will be having a Crazy Hair Day! Come to school with your hair coloured or in a crazy different style for a gold coin donation. All money raised will be donated to the World’s Greatest Shave.

(school uniform still required and please do not bring any coloured spray/chalk to school. Colour your hair at home ONLY!)

 

Ms Scott is participating in the World’s Greatest Shave to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation to support Australians facing blood cancer. Ms Scott will be shaving her hair off at assembly that day.

 

Last day of Term 1

Thursday the 28th of March is the last day of Term 1. Students will be dismissed at 2:30pm Please make arrangements with Camp Australia if you can not pick up your child/ren at this earlier time.
