Years 2 & 3

This week in Mathematics, we have been concentrating on basic addition and subtraction facts. We have been playing 'Total Ten' and 'Total Twenty' with dominoes. The aim of these games are to correctly group dominoes that total ten and twenty and developing part-part-whole thinking (missing part). 

The Year 3s have also been preparing for their upcoming NAPLAN assessments which start on Tuesday March 13th. We have been practising using test sites on the iPads and also writing tasks on paper. 

In English, we have just finished our shared novel 'Flat Stanley' By Jeff Brown. We have really enjoyed this novel and look forward to starting our next shared novel.
