Years F & 1 

This week the students have had such a positive attitude towards their learning and wanting to give some great challenges a go. It has been so exciting watching them have so many successes.

During writing, we have continued focusing on making sure our sentences include a verb and a noun. This week we have worked on adding additional information stating where we are. We focused on first writing about our weekends and using the time connectives first, next, and finally. Students verbally read their sentences and it was great to see them stating “I missed writing” a certain word. For the rest of the week, we used a picture prompt and had a go at writing a story. Please enjoy reading some weekend recounts and stories.

In maths, the students have enjoyed making patterns with different items and have enjoyed practicing their skip counting.
