Message from the Principal

Dear Families,

The sounds of Christmas are starting to ring around the school grounds as teachers and Mr H prepare the students for their Christmas Concert performances. We'd love to have as many families as possible celebrate the student's efforts with us, so mark December 13 in your calendar! 

Thank you to all our families for keeping an eye on Compass with all of the excursions and events happening throughout our community. Friday the 1/2s are off to Scienceworks, 3/4s to ACMI and the 6s are heading to Port Melbourne for a surf lifesaving program. Continue to check Compass to keep up to date on the happenings for the rest of the year.

School Savings Bonus

Earlier in the year the Victorian Government announced a one off $400 support for government school students from Prep to Year 12 in 2025. All families will receive an email from the Department of Education with details on how they can use this money to pay for school uniforms, camps and excursions in 2025. You can find more information on the bonus in the newsletter. 

Prep Transition Program

We look forward to welcoming our 2025 Prep students as they get ready to join our Albanvale Primary School community from Thursday 21st November. Our Head Start Program will continue to run every other day of the week, with students scheduled for Thursday reallocated to other days. Our new Prep students will have the opportunity to practice the routines and expectations of the classroom as part of their transition program which will culminate in our final session together where students will meet their teacher and classmates in their new classroom, ready for 2025. We have finalised our Prep enrolments for 2025 with 3 classes confirmed. For all further enrolment inquiries please reach out to the school.

Families leaving Albanvale PS

Please let the office know if your child is leaving the school at the end of this year so we can begin the transition process for your child with their new school.
