Italian Language & Culture

Prep and Year 1 students are absolutely exerting their efforts to count to ten in Italian. The students are achieving this goal through games and regular oral work.

The students are singing Italian songs and enjoying the language through playing games.

Year 2 students are continuing to learn the names of the days of the week and the names of classroom objects along with knowing how to ask for something in Italian.

Year 3 and 4 are revising their frequent Italian language and participating in familiar classroom routines and following classroom instructions, asking and responding to questions in Italian identifying nouns and looking for patterns in Italian words and sentence structures

Year 5 and 6 are revising their frequent language and learning to write sentences based on modelled examples, listening to short simple texts and using the correct definite articles in front of nouns.

Mackellar students also participated in the 2024 Mackellar Art Show ‘Spettacolo’.
