Farewell

Dear St. Francis Community,

As I prepare to say goodbye at the end of next week, I'm filled with gratitude and fond memories. After seven rewarding years at St. Francis, I will be taking up a new role as Principal at St. Monica’s in Kangaroo Flat. This decision is both exciting and bittersweet; while I look forward to new challenges, it is difficult to part from such a dedicated and vibrant community.

Reflecting on my time here, I am immensely proud of all that we have accomplished together. From navigating challenges to celebrating milestones, our community has continually shown resilience, warmth, and a shared commitment to providing our children with the best possible education and environment to grow.

I am grateful to the staff, who work tirelessly and have been an incredible source of support and inspiration. Their passion and dedication have made St. Francis a wonderful place to lead.   To our students, thank you for the joy you bring to our school every day; watching you learn, grow, and thrive has been the highlight of my role.   And to our families and parish community, your involvement and trust have been invaluable to creating the inclusive, caring school that St. Francis is today.  I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to our Parish Priest, Fr. Jophin Joy, for his unwavering spiritual guidance and support, which have greatly enriched our community.

Although I will be moving on, St. Francis will always be remembered fondly. I look forward to hearing about the school’s continued successes and growth in the years to come.

I am thankful to Matt Carver for taking on the position of Executive Principal to both St Francis and St Mary of the Angels for the remainder of 2024 and for the 2025 school year. Matt brings with him a wealth of experience, vision, and a deep commitment to Catholic education. I have no doubt that he will provide a seamless transition and lead the school with integrity and dedication. Under his guidance, St. Francis will continue to flourish, and I am confident he will be warmly welcomed by this exceptional community.

Thank you once again for all the kindness, trust, and support. It has been an honour and a privilege to be your Principal.

Thanks,

Matt Knight

Health Care Card Holders

Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd (CESL) is pleased to inform Primary School families holding a valid Health Care Card (HCC) that you are eligible for a significant reduction in school fees for the upcoming year including all fees and levies.

The discount will be automatically applied to your school fee account once you provide a copy of your HCC to the school office, complete a CSEF form, and set up a direct debit arrangement.

If you've already submitted your HCC, completed the CSEF form, and have a direct debit in place, no further action is needed — the discount will be applied automatically.

We understand that many families have varying circumstances and in response to the rising cost of living expenses, we are committed to supporting those who need additional assistance.

Please be assured that this support is provided to ensure all students have the opportunity to thrive in our school community. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact the school office.
