Social Justice at Holy Trinity

It can sometimes be hard to know how to support Social Justice issues, but even small local changes can make a big difference. In the Catholic tradition, we believe that human dignity is protected when human rights are respected and responsibilities are fulfilled.

At Holy Trinity, Social Justice causes have always been embraced because they reflect the core values of our Catholic faith. Catholic schools have a mission to follow the teachings of Jesus, who called us to love our neighbours, care for the poor, and stand up for justice. Social justice is a way we live out that call, teaching our students to put their faith into action by helping those in need.

Our Mini Vinnies team is currently supporting St. Vincent de Paul’s Christmas Appeal, with fundraisers like Monday’s Zooper Dooper sale and the "Guess the Treats in the Jar" competitions. These efforts not only provide financial and practical support to those in our local area but also encourage our students to reflect on the deeper message of compassion and generosity.

We invite parents to discuss the importance of social justice with their children, highlighting that these activities are about more than just treats—they’re about making a difference. Social justice education helps our students value diversity, promote inclusivity, and become active, caring members of society, living out the Gospel message in their everyday lives.
