Student Wellbeing
ES Planning and Review Day
On Friday, our Education Support Classroom Team came together to reflect on 2024 and plan for 2025. It was a productive and inspiring day, focusing on student adjustments, and refining strategies to ensure consistent and effective support meets the individual needs of the students we work with.
We were also fortunate to meet with Christine Yam, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, which provided the team with an invaluable opportunity to examine and discuss the function of certain behaviours. This session allowed us to dig deeper into understanding the purpose of specific behaviours and explore effective approaches to support positive outcomes for our students.
In addition, the team collaborated to review individual education plans (IEPs), identifying areas where further clarification or refinement was needed. This process ensures that every plan is clear, targeted, and aligned with the unique needs of each student, allowing us to provide the best possible support in achieving their goals.
The day was a valuable learning experience for all involved, reinforcing clarity around expectations and desired learning behaviours. Together, we have strengthened our shared understanding of effective strategies, ensuring we are well prepared to support every student’s success moving forward.
We are so lucky to have such a committed and motivated team who work together to help ensure Greenhills is always a GREAT place to be and learn.
