TERM 4 - YOUTH MASS
Last Saturday night, 9th November at the 6pm Mass, families with students represented across all year levels attended the Term 4 Youth Mass at our St Brendan’s Parish Church.
It was lovely to see so many of our families delighting in their children participating in this special Mass. All of the students who participated, joined in as; readers of the Prayers of the Faithful, Altar Servers, taking up the offertory and singing.
Following the Mass, the children and their families were invited back to the MPJ Centre to enjoy pizza and drinks organised by the Parish.
Thank you to Emma Christy, our Parish Youth worker and Mr Chris Summers, from
St Luke’s who assisted in facilitating the Mass and games and food afterwards.
The activity organised for the night, was for the children to get into groups and complete a Scavenger Hunt around the Church grounds and garden, to find six lines in the Our Father. Of course Ella Mills, Caitlyn Mills and Imogen Sargeant’s team won the challenge. There was lots of fun and laughter and some running around the Church as the children enjoyed eachothers company. It was a lovely night with plenty of student involvement.
Thank you to all our wonderful families who take time to join us each term for our Youth Masses. Next year we will continue our Youth Masses each term, parents and parishioners will be notified in advance of the up and coming Youth Mass dates for 2025.
We look forward to another year of active participation, engagement and celebration!
Kind Regards,
Leanne Pellegrino (Catholic Identity Leader)
