Duncan Traill, a salesperson for FN Collective (Johnsonville) had the honour of serving as the Auctioneer for The Johnsonville Club’s 25th Anniversary Melbourne Cup Charity Day! It was a day filled with generosity, community spirit, and some impressive prizes, all in support of the Cancer Society. Christine Pryde, salesperson at FN Riverton, is actively involved in the Cleaning Up Our Estuary project, a partnership between the Rotary Club of Invercargill Sunrise, ICC, and Environment Southland. The initiative educates communities about how stormwater drains impact the estuary and ocean, promoting cleaner waterways.
Recently, Christine joined a session at Donovan Park School, where students learned how pollutants in stormwater drains harm marine ecosystems. Enthusiastic kids helped spray-paint blue fish symbols around drains, reminding everyone that only water belongs there.
With over 23 schools participating, keep an eye out for the blue fish and do your part to protect the estuary!
