Happy Christmas!
It is that time of the year- we are busily preparing for the last days of school, the lead-up to Christmas and inevitably the hustle and bustle of busyness that goes with it. For those who joined us at the Whole School Carols Service, you will have seen 'The Perfect Photo' being taken.
In this item, we started with an image of the manger with the baby Jesus and added all kinds of Christmas icons including Mary and Joseph, shepherds, stars, animals, Wise Men, Christmas carollers, a tree, shoppers, partygoers, and of course, Santa! There were so many extras in the scene that the manger with Jesus was no longer visible.
The image was intended to remind us that while adding many things to create a 'perfect Christmas', sometimes those things take the focus away from the birth of our Lord Jesus.
May your Christmas be filled with love, joy, peace and hope and, above all, may you remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Mrs Toni Steinbergs, Deputy Principal

Every year, we have students join us from Kinjo High School in Japan. Next year we will have three students: two girls, Misa and Yui and one boy, Takamura.
AIIU is looking for one or more families to host one of the students for Term One in 2025.
- Families can host a student for all or part of the term.
- No need to cook special food.
- The student can share a bedroom (same gender)
- Host families are paid a small stipend of $50 per night to help with costs
- 27 January to 4 March 2025
This is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy learning about another culture, make new friends and share God's love with these young people. Hosting is open to families from all Year levels.
