This term has been vibrant for our wellbeing initiatives, with Kingston Youth Services leading engaging lunchtime programs. We’ve celebrated Wear it Purple and RUOK? Day This term there has been crafts, jewellery making, zine creation and plenty of activities. A special congratulations to Rachel from Year 7 for winning our lolly jar contest!

Lunch time programs will still be running on Mondays at lunch time in term 4!

Wellbeing Corner: A Reminder Before the Holidays

As we approach the end of the term and the much-anticipated school holidays, the Wellbeing team would like to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of taking care of your mental and emotional health.

It’s been a busy few months, and we know that the end of term can bring a mix of excitement and exhaustion. Whether you’re looking forward to some downtime or spending time with family and friends, remember that it’s important to recharge and relax.

Here are a few simple ways you can take care of yourself over the break:

  1. Rest and Relax: Take time to rest your mind and body. A good night’s sleep and relaxing activities can do wonders for your overall wellbeing.
  2. Stay Active: Physical activity helps improve mood and reduce stress. Whether it’s a walk, a game of soccer, or dancing around the house—keep moving!
  3. Connect with Loved Ones: Spending quality time with family or friends can help you feel supported and connected.
  4. Do Something You Enjoy: Whether it’s reading, drawing, baking, or exploring a new hobby—make sure to carve out time for what brings you joy.
  5. Reflect and Be Grateful: Take a moment to reflect on the positive moments of the term and set an intention for the new year.

Take care and enjoy your well-deserved break!

With warm wishes
