YARNING CIRCLE
Yarning Circle
Today's small group welcomed a new member to the Yarning Circle and we headed out to the reserve behind the oval to spend the session on Country.
In this simple activity students were to collect materials from the ground only (no living vegetation), with gum nuts, gum nut flowers, bark, leaves and branches collected.
What next?
Collaboration, and to work together to create a design on shade cloth using everything they had gathered.
This was the yield from the season known as Bullarto N'Yo'Weenth (plenty sun), or early summer on Bunurong Country.
