St John's First Aid Incursion

Over the past month all students from Kindy through to Year 6 have attended a St John's First Aid incursion. This allowed the incursion to be tailored to their age groups.

Kindys - The Kindy students had a fantastic time learning about what an emergency is and what to do in one. We danced to the Triple Zero song and learnt about Koorlie the Paramedic Bear. We also practiced calling the 000 number, talking to an operator and asking for the ambulance in Western Australia.

Year 1s - The students had a very exciting day on Monday, as they got to experience an incursion, hosted by the St John’s team, all about first aid. The children learned about dangerous situations, how to identify them, and what to do when they encounter an emergency. They also learned how to handle a situation involving someone being hurt or unconscious. The children received a badge and a certificate for their good listening and participation. It was a great incursion, and we all learned so much!
