Out and About

Sport Report

On the 26th of March, a number of Year 7 and 8 students represented the School at the Ovens and Mitta Interschool Sports. Teams played in Tennis, Volleyball and Cricket. It was great to have some older students along to help out with the smooth-running of the teams.

Volleyball

Male Team - We took on other schools in the volleyball competition and were undefeated. We enjoyed meeting our other team-mates - 4 students from Beechworth SC and making new friendships.

Female Team - was a full Mount Beauty SC team and enjoyed their day playing the other schools.

Cricket

While somewhat disappointed with their losses, and one draw - the students were still able to lament that in the end cricket is about having fun. They were good sports, keeping their spirits up. 

Tennis

There was a range of doubles teams at the tournament, and here's what they had to say. I think the teams played well; we all supported each other. We had fun and everybody did a great job. The day was hot, and we hit the ball a few times and won some games. The Mixed Tennis team said they came 2nd overall; runners up by one game!
