Term 2 Padua & Mt A Parent Engagement Evening

Please join us for our Term 2 Padua and Mount Alvernia Parent Engagement Evening, where one of Australia's most trusted parenting experts, Dr Justin Coulson, will be unpacking the psychological secrets that allow parents to help their children perform better, be happier, and build resilience.

Father of six, Justin is the co-host and parenting expert on Channel 9's Parental Guidance, the founder of happyfamilies.com.au, and author of 9 books about raising children. He holds a PhD in Positive Psychology.

In this session, he will show parents how to help their children cope powerfully and positively with the challenges that life throws at them, addressing the question commonly put to him - “How can I help my child be more resilient?”

Jason will share what parents can do to build their child’s sense of identity, strengths, and growth mindset, based on his best-selling book 9 Ways to a Resilient Child, explaining the factors that help and hinder resilience, and how competition and praise may undermine resilience.

This event is for our parent communities and will start with light refreshments outside Padua's College La Cordelle Hall from 5.30pm, with the presentation running 6.15-7.45pm. Parking is available in the Padua College staff carpark (off Turner Road) or along the street in Turner Road and Jardine Street.
