Franciscan Colleges Instrumental Program 

In 2024 we have over 500 students enrolled for lessons in 2024 and I am looking forward to a wonderful year of music. The Director of Music, Mr Chris Dodemont is taking a year of long service leave this year. I will be the Acting Director in his absence. Music Camps 

The FCIP has an annual Music Camp for orchestral instrumental students from grade 5-12. This year the Senior camp will be held from Wednesday 19 June to Friday 21 June at Qld Conference & Camping Centre, Brookfield and our Junior/Intermediate camp will be held from Monday 8 July to Wednesday 10 July at Lake Ainsworth Recreational Centre, Lennox Heads. These camps are an important part of the development pf the ensembles both musically and socially. More information regarding these camps will be coming out soon.

Music Support Group - POP (Parents of the Program)

Comprised of wonderful parents from Years 5-12 who take an active interest in their child’s music by helping at concerts, assisting with fundraising, and volunteering where needed. If you are interested in becoming involved or need more information, please email trotolone@gmail.com

Rock Symphony - 25 & 26 May 

The Rock Symphony is a major event that occurs every 2 years and showcases the talents of over 130 musicians and 100 vocalists performing together on stage. This year’s theme is “Movie Magic” which includes a combined featured performance by the St Anthony's Senior Choir and the Greccio Rock Voices singing “Under the Sea”. The Mount Alvernia College Choir and the Assisi Vocal Ensemble will also get a chance to feature in this performance singing songs from movies such as “James Bond”, “Singin in The Rain”, “Dreamgirls”, “Grease”, “The Greatest Showman”, and “The Bodyguard”.

• 19 – 21 June – Wednesday to Friday Senior Music Camp QCCC Brookfield (Senior Concert Band, Senior Big Band, Senior Strings Orchestra)
