As always, there are plenty of things happening in the Assessment and Reporting space at Ballarat High School. Our upcoming Term 2 Staff Professional Learning day on 14th May will be focused on Assessment. Staff will be building their skills in creating quality rubrics for assessment tasks using a developmental assessment approach. This work will assist students in their learning by making it clearer for students to know what they are being assessed on and what they need to do next to progress their learning.

Semester 1 Reports will be published on Compass at the end of Term 2 for parents and students. These provide an overview of student learning & achievement for the Semester. Along with formal reports, parents are also able to use Compass to access results for Assessment Tasks as they are completed across the Semester. Learning task results can be viewed through both the Compass App or Compass Website. These can be accessed by viewing your child’s profile and then selecting the Learning Tasks tab.
