National Careers Week

National Careers Week

May is the month for celebrating all things Careers and is highlighted by National Careers Week held between Monday, 13 May and Sunday, 19 May. Students will be able to join in on the celebrations with a range of activities being held at the College. More information will be shared in the Daily Notices. 

 

There will also be many community events happening throughout the month. Families are encouraged to explore some of the following:

 

Career Conversations - Information for Families

 

This is a free event hosted by the Department of Education for parents, students and the community to learn more about:

  • Exploring university and training pathways
  • Career pathway information for young people with disabilities
  • The labour market and where the jobs are
  • Future work trends
  • What employers and industry are looking for

Registration opens at 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start. Refreshments are provided.

 

Tuesday, 7 May - Career Conversations Information for Families Wembley - 6.30pm to 8.00pm at the Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre, 36 Dodd Street, Wembley.

 

Monday, 27 May - Career Conversations Information for Families Bentley - 6.30pm to 8.00pm at the Bentley Technology Park - Global Streaming Room, 2 Brodie Hall Drive, Bentley (there is currently a waitlist for tickets).

 

Careers Expo 2024 - Unearth Your Great Future

 

The Careers Expo could be your first step on your future pathway. Discover careers that you may have never heard of before. Held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, 18 May to Sunday, 19 May between 10am and 3.30pm. For more information, visit the Careers Expo website.
