Sewing for Wildlife
A keen group of students combined their love of animals and sewing on Tuesday afternoon, sewing pouches for orphaned baby kangaroos. Using donated fabrics, the students formed a mini production line, hoping to make some much needed larger sized pouches.
For anyone who is interested, Sewing for Wildlife will occur every second week (odd weeks) on a Tuesday afternoon in the Textiles room. If crochet is more your thing, you can come along and crochet some mini bird nests for baby birds. Please register your interest here.
All pouch and nest donations will be gratefully received by the Darling Range Wildlife Shelter.
If anyone would like to donate any fleece or flannelette to our worthy cause, we can guarantee it will be put to good use (minimum length 1.2m).
