A busy couple of weeks has seen students participate at the District Athletics Championships and the District Basketball Championships.

The BNPS Athletics Team had a wonderful day at the Harold Stevens Athletics Track. With the weather conditions conducive to fast times, long jumps, high jumps, and long throws, all of our students performed exceptionally well. Our record as the most supportive school at this annual event was once again achieved with all our students in full voice throughout the day supporting each other.

Once again, a huge thankyou to Mr Micheal, Miss Fiona W, and Miss Vittoria who supported the students at this event.

Congratulations to the following students who have progressed to the Divisional Athletic Championships : Ev W, Hugh C, Zara D, Fleur G, Fletcher D. Heni K, Adeline M, Kadir A, Miles P, Damian G, Tully K, Leon T, Harriet M, Heidi R, Adelaide W, Sophia D, Jarvis G, Josefina R, Joss S, Heathcliff PB, Georgia M, and Atticus S.

The BNPS Basketball teams performed magnificently at the inaugural District Basketball Championships held at the Coburg Basketball Stadium.

Our boys team finished the day with five wins and one loss. Unfortunately, two other schools finished with the same win/loss ratio and after points for and against were calculated, the BNPS ‘Kebabs’ were awarded second place.

Our girls team finished the event with four wins and two losses to finish the event in third place. The was an outstanding effort by the BNPS ‘Super Doopers’ who experienced a couple of late withdrawals and played the tournament with just six players. Needless to say, there were some very tired students on the bus trip back to school!
