✨ Reservoir High School Production 2025 – The Day the Internet Died ✨
This year, Reservoir High School proudly returned to the world of plays with our 2025 production, The Day the Internet Died. After several years of musicals, we switched gears to broaden our students’ repertoire, give them new performing experiences and encourage an even wider group to get involved. And wow-what a performance it was!
Auditions kicked off back in March, and since then our talented students worked tirelessly to bring this hilarious story to life.
So, what’s it all about?
On a sunny day in the town of Bloomington, disaster strikes-not floods, not famine, not the collapse of society as we know it… but something much worse: the internet goes down. And not just for an hour, not just for a day… but for an entire week. A whole week without memes, online shopping, or posting endless photos of your lunch. Pandemonium erupts, and the play hilariously explores just how hopeless we are at dating, research and basic human interaction when there isn’t a screen to hide behind.
The cast threw themselves into their roles with energy and wit, bringing the chaos of a
Wi-Fi-less world to the stage. From bumbling mayors and frantic baristas to teens in meltdown and townsfolk in total denial, every character made the audience laugh (and maybe reflect a little on our own tech habits!).

🙏 Special Thanks
A huge thank you goes out to all the staff and students who made this year’s production such a success. Special thanks to Jim French for his drama expertise, Daniel Luttick for his brilliant artwork and publicity and Elly Gomez for her vital work organising the sets and backstage crew.
This year’s production reminded us of the magic of live theatre, the talent of our Reservoir High School community and just how lucky we are that the Wi-Fi didn’t actually go down in real life!
Friday night marked the last school production for Yr 12 students Indi and Rick. Both students have been involved in Production every year during their time at Reservoir High School. The Performing Arts team would like to thank Indi and Rick for all their hard work, passion and dedication they have put into Production year after year. We wish you all the best with your further studying, acting or directing
