Music

This term has been full of music, energy and creativity across all year levels. Foundation students have loved exploring different elements of music. They enjoyed singing, dancing and playing games in the music room, always leaving with big smiles on their faces.
Level 1 and 2 students have been busy playing the marimba. They worked together to keep the beat, listen to each other and create some impressive sounds as a group.
For Level 3 and 4 students, the challenge was learning duets on the recorder. It took patience and teamwork, but by the end of the term students were proud of how well they could play with a partner and keep their parts in time.
Level 5 and 6 students began the term with their exciting production performance, which was a highlight for everyone. After that, they turned their attention to creating original soundtracks for comics they had written. Students enjoyed experimenting with different sounds to bring their stories to life in a new way.
The choirs and bands also had a busy term, performing at assemblies and special event days. These performances gave students a chance to share their hard work and talents with the whole school community.
We are already looking forward to next term, especially our Carols Evening on Tuesday 16th December. Please save the date – it will be a fantastic way to celebrate another wonderful year.
