Learning In My Level

TERM 3 FOUNDATION 2025
What a jam-packed Term 3 our Foundation students have had!
Toys, Toys, Toys!
Our Inquiry topic this term is Toys and how they move! Each week we have been exploring different types of toys and the forces needed to make them move. To spark student interest and curiosity in our new topic, in week 2 we took part in a full day of hands-on activities. Students participated in a Mad about Science incursion, coded Beebots, made marble runs and let their imagination run wild whilst using the Nudel Kart!
100 Days of School
In week 3, Foundation students reached the huge milestone of 100 Days of School! The school was filled with 100-year-olds, and we spent the day taking part in some exciting activities to celebrate. We raced to 100, wrote about what we will look like when we are 100 years old, did a scavenger hunt and made fairy bread!
Cyber Safety Project Incursion
Trent and Sam, along with our very own Kiah Allen visited Rangeview students for a Cyber Safety Incursion. During the visit, our early years students established strategies to create a healthy digital balance. Students explored what their bodies and minds need to live a healthy lifestyle. With this incursion, students:
- were empowered to find ways to switch off
- discovered daily activities that promote movement and ‘green time’
- discussed the importance of resting their minds
- learnt how to S.T.A.R.T. to take control and apply digital wellbeing practices
Book Week Dress Up
This year, Book Week ran from Saturday, 16 August to Saturday, 23 August 2025. Across the country, schools, libraries, and early learning centres were filled with colourful costumes, cosy reading corners, and endless stories.
Swimming
Foundation students were very excited during swimming week to travel to Healthways on the bus and learning in the pool with their peers. We would like to thank our wonderful and dedicated parent helpers who were available to meet us at the pool and help students with getting changed. We appreciate your help immensely.
We can’t wait to see what Term 4 has in store for us!
