Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

 

We are now in the second half of Term 3, and all students are well engaged in learning.

 

Behaviour Focus

Our behaviour focus for Week 8 is Safe,

 

We are learning to:

  • Recognise and know what to do after bullying happens

     

What does it look and sound like:

  • Stay away and ignore
  • Don't hold a grudge - let it go
  • Follow the teacher's instructions

  • Build resilience

     

Turn Up Awards

Congratulations to our Turn Up Award winners for Week 7.  You will receive a voucher to use at the school canteen.

Father's Day Breakfast

It was great to see so many at our Father's Day Breakfast last Friday, 5th September.  We hope you enjoyed your bacon & egg roll with your child/children and had a great day last Sunday celebrating Father's Day.  Head on over to the Father's Day Breakfast Tab on the newsletter to see photos of the morning.

 

 

Northwest Regional Athletics

Congratulations to those who competed in the Northwest Regional Athletics last Wednesday, 3rd September.  We are very proud of your efforts.

 

 

NSW Primary Schools Chess Competition

The next stage of the NSW Primary Schools Chess Competition was held at Werris Creek Public School today.  Ashton, Dom, Lachy and Lebron competed against Armidale City Public School.  It was an intense match, and Armidale City were the winners of this round and progress to the next round of competition.  We thank Armidale City for the match and wish them all the best.

 

Capers

The first of our whole school rehearsals for Capers will commence tomorrow.  Our staff and students will be attending a number of rehearsals in the coming weeks leading up to the performances on Friday, 7th and Saturday, 8th November. We have three entries into Capers this year being, Choir, Cultural Dance and the Small Schools Performance.  Each entry has different rehearsal times and dates. We will be providing transport for all rehearsals, and we ask that all students arrive to school by 8:30am to ensure we arrive at the TREC on time.  Please note this is very important as we must abide by the Capers schedule. All students should now have provided the school with their costumes for Capers.  If you have not already done so, could you please ensure that your child's costume is sent into school ASAP. Please look to the Important Information & Events Tab on this newsletter for details on what is required and times of rehearsals.
