Physical Education

Our two-week Bike Education Program with Bicycle Network is underway, and it has been fantastic to see every student from Prep to Year 6 get involved. In the first session yesterday, students learned how to complete an ABCD bike safety check and practised using clear hand signals when riding. These foundational skills are all about building confidence, awareness and safe habits on and around bikes. Next week, students will continue developing their riding skills and confidence as they apply what they’ve learned.
One of the highlights so far has been seeing students hop on a bike for the very first time and bravely push through some big nerves. It has been wonderful watching them support one another and celebrate these milestones!
Later this year, the Bicycle Network team will also be working with our Year 4–6 students on identifying safe routes to school, helping them think about how to ride safely in our local community.
We will also be taking part in National Ride2School Day on Friday, March 20, 2026. Please hold tight for more information about how our school will celebrate and how students can get involved.
