Term 1 PSG Bookings are Open!
Program Support Groups (PSGs) booking are now open for Term 1.
A Program Support Group (PSG) brings together key people involved in your child’s holistic education. It is a partnership between you and your child, school representatives and, where relevant, invited professionals. The PSG works together to guide the planning and implementation of inclusive educational practices for your child. The members of the PSG meet on a regular basis to develop plans, adjustments and interventions that reflect a common understanding of your child’s needs
The teachers will schedule a PSG for students who:
- Have a Personal Learning Plan
- Are new students to St Peter's and the school needs more information about them
- Receive extensive adjustments in the classroom and the yard
- Have a diagnosis from a medical or allied health professional
- Are seeking a diagnosis from a medical or allied health professional
PSGs will happen on Tuesday 24th February
Your child's teacher will make contact with you and let you know if you need a booking. If you require further clarification please call the school or your child's teacher.

NAPLAN
What is NAPLAN?
- The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) assesses Literacy and Numeracy skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life.
- The tests provide parents/carers and schools with an understanding of how individual students are performing at the time of the tests. NAPLAN tests are just one aspect of a school’s assessment and reporting process; they do not replace ongoing assessments made by teachers about student performance.
- NAPLAN tests also provide schools, education authorities and governments with information about how education programs are working and whether young Australians are meeting important educational outcomes in literacy and numeracy.
Who is NAPLAN for?
- Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 participate in the annual NAPLAN tests in reading, writing, language conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.
When is NAPLAN?
- NAPLAN will run from Wednesday 11 March to Monday 23 March
- Where possible assessments will be scheduled for the morning
- If students are absent, catch up times are provided within the NAPLAN assessment window
