We value partnering with families here at OLA and believe it is in the child's best interest when we work together to support wellbeing, learning and resolve any issues that arise.
It is important that any questions or concerns are directed first to your child’s classroom teacher, as they know your child best and are most familiar with their learning, progress, and daily experiences at school. In most cases, the classroom teacher can address concerns quickly and effectively.
If you feel you need further information or clarity after speaking with the teacher, you are encouraged to make a meeting or phone call with the Level Leader.
Should the concern remain unresolved, the next step is to schedule a meeting with a member of the Wellbeing Team (Shelby Turner, Josy Reeder, Caitlan Taig and/or Richard Jacques). Following this process ensures that concerns are managed thoughtfully, respectfully, and at the appropriate level.
We are very proud of our Lunch Clubs here at OLA!
Lunch clubs provide students with a chance to explore different interests and develop social connections. It's fantastic to see teachers volunteering their time and sharing their passions with students, creating an environment where learning extends beyond the classroom. We offer a variety of Lunch Clubs such as Wakakirri, Drawing, Choir, Running club, Library and Chess which ensures that there's something for everyone, catering to different interests and promoting overall wellbeing.
