Early Learning

Piccino

It has been a wonderful week full of excitement and learning at ELC. We had a fantastic time exploring the magic of colours together. It was truly heartwarming to witness the curiosity and enthusiasm in each of the children as they embarked on this colourful journey.

The activity where we observed paper towels absorbing food dye brought about a sense of wonder and amazement among the children. Their eyes lit up with curiosity as they watched the colours blend and create beautiful patterns. It was a simple yet mesmerising process that truly captured the essence of exploration and discovery.

 Piccolo

The Piccolo group truly enjoy spending time outdoors, especially in the sand and on the fort! We have also had the opportunity to have a few lovely picnics. A couple of weeks ago, we took a walk around the Junior School campus, passing by the oval, as part of a practice session in case an evacuation is necessary. It was wonderful to see the children learning how to follow the leader, hold hands with their peers, and stay in line as best as they could.

The children have been engaging in various activities related to colours, such as colour mixing, colour stories, sorting colours, drawing with watercolour pencils, and painting. They have also been exploring activities with the light box.
