NAPLAN Assessments 2024
Year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN, 2024
Our Year 3 and Year 5 students have commenced their NAPLAN assessments for 2024, with two of the 4 assessments completed (Writing - Wednesday and Reading – Thursday). Tomorrow (Friday) students will be completing the Language Conventions (spelling, grammar & punctuation), then finishing with Numeracy on Monday.
The students have shown high levels of engagement, and it has been pleasing to see students arriving each day on time, rested after having a good night’s sleep and with a positive mindset.
Opportunities for catch-up assessments will be provided for students who may have been absent for any reason, across the testing days, to allow all students the maximum opportunity to participate.
It is important to remember (and remind our children) that this is just one of the many ongoing assessments used throughout the year, and NAPLAN reflects just a ‘moment in time’. At ARPS, teachers analyse the NAPLAN results to inform planning and cater to the individual learning needs of all our students.
