News and Notices
From the Principal
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend and managed to spend some time with your family.
We are rapdily coming to the end of Term 1 and are already gearing up for a busy Term 2.
We had a great time at our swimming carnival where the children took part in a number of novelty races. It always amazes me how much more confident the children become in the pool after just 10 weeks of swimming. A massive thank you to Derek who helped nurse the pool through to the end of term.
We had an Easter Egg hunt at Easter and ran around the school trying to solve clues. It is always fun to see who becomes extremely competitive, who actually reads the clues, and who can work as a team.
Biathlon
Assuming the weather holds, we will holding our annual Biathlon at 1.45pm on Friday 12 April 2024. We would love you to come along and cheer the children along.
Everyone needs:
- Togs
- Towel
- Running shoes
Children at school after school hours
We are generally very happy for our community to use the school grounds out of school hours, we just ask that you take care of our equipment. However, we are having an issue with a large number of children coming back to school in the afternoons and joining in with the After-school care children. There have been some arguments and a number of children who do not believe that they need to listen to Melanie or to follow school rules. This makes for a very stressful situation for all concerned. I would ask that you wait until after 4.15pm to allow the children to come back to school unless you are going to come with them and supervise.
Camp and EOTC
Unfortunately, we were not successful in our application for a grant from YouthTown as they have a shortage of funds. We have put in an application to Pub Charities, but cannot guarantee that we will receive money here either.
The Give-a-Little page is set up and it is up to you to share it with as many businesses, friends and families as possible. People who do not want to use the Give-a-Little page can always donate straight to the school. Please, please share this on your social media.

I am still looking for opportunities to take small groups of children (3 or 4) into the community on Friday morning for an hour or two. If you know of someone we could help or something we could do, please make contact with the school.
