CURRICULUM FOCUS

This week in Chemical Science, students are sharing what they know about water and how they use it. 

VOCABULARY

Water cycle: This is how water is moved around the planet. The sun heats up big amounts of water, turns it into vapour and forms into clouds. When the clouds get too heavy, the water is dropped as rain, snow or hail.

Vapour: Clear steam. It’s water in the air that we cannot see because it’s a gas.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child about the water cycle, where water comes from and how we use water. 

Ask them to show what they know in an interesting way? 

eg Draw a picture, create a poster, model, Lego etc
